Leadership

Greg is a graduate of Curry High School and Trevecca Nazarene University and has spent many years serving both the church and the Jasper community. His ministry journey has included serving as Youth Pastor at Jasper First Church of the Nazarene and as Lead Pastor at Saragossa Church of the Nazarene before becoming Lead Pastor of Covenant Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to his years in ministry, Greg is retired from Maddox Middle School, where he taught History and invested in the lives of countless students. He has a heart for preaching God’s Word, helping people grow deeper in their faith, and leading the church to make a lasting difference in the lives of others and in the community.

Jeffery comes from a strong family heritage in the Church of the Nazarene and has continued that legacy through a lifetime of faithful ministry. He was ordained as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 1995 and has served on staff at Columbiana, Nauvoo, Northside, Sardis, Gardendale, and Saragossa Churches of the Nazarene.

Although Jeffery retired from full-time ministry in 2025, his heart for serving others remains as strong as ever. As Associate Pastor at Covenant, he continues to invest in the life of the church and in people of all ages. He is actively involved in CNC Sports and Senior Adult Ministry, using his years of experience and passion for ministry to encourage, support, and serve others.

Jim has many years of experience playing in and leading bands and now brings his love for music and worship to Covenant as our Worship Pastor. This is his first time serving in an official church worship leadership role, and he has a heart for using music to help others connect with God through worship.

Outside of ministry, Jim works in banking. His wife, Jenny serves as the Director of Jasper’s Pregnancy Test & Resource Center.

Brittany has been a lifelong member of Jasper First and Covenant Church of the Nazarene and has a deep love for her church and community. With a background in insurance and management, she brings strong organizational and leadership skills to her role at Covenant.

Brittany serves as the church’s Administrative Assistant and Children’s Director, helping with the day-to-day ministry of the church while also overseeing Covenant Kids. She has a heart for serving others, supporting the ministries of the church, and creating a welcoming environment where children and families can grow in their relationship with Christ.

Steve has been faithfully serving in prison ministry since 2004, sharing the hope and truth of Jesus Christ with men behind bars. He currently ministers at the Hamilton Work Release Center, Hamilton Aged and Infirmed Prison, and the Walker County Jail.

His ministry focuses on leading inmates to Christ, teaching God’s Word, baptizing new believers, and walking alongside them through the challenges of incarceration. He also helps prepare men for a successful transition back into their families and communities after their release.

Beyond the prison walls, Steve has ministered to the 1% biker community since 2003, building relationships and sharing the love of Jesus wherever God opens the door. Steve has a heart for reaching people right where they are and helping them discover the hope, grace, and new life found in Christ.

Steve was born and raised in Jasper, where he attended Walker High School and Walker College. He entered the ministry in 1980 and has faithfully served the church in a variety of roles, including Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Music Minister.

Throughout his years of ministry, Steve’s calling has taken him beyond the walls of the church. He has served 12 years in motorcycle ministry and 16 years in jail and prison ministry, sharing the hope and love of Christ with those who are often overlooked.

At the heart of Steve’s ministry is a passion for leading people to Christ and helping them grow as faithful disciples. His desire is not only to see lives changed through salvation, but to walk alongside others as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.
