
Greg Tinker
Lead Pastor
Greg is a graduate of Curry High School and Trevecca Nazarene University. Greg has served as Youth Pastor at Jasper First Church of the Nazarene and Lead Pastor at Saragossa Church of the Nazarene. He is retired from Maddox Middle School where he taught History.

Jeffery Woods
Associate Pastor
Jeffery comes from a strong family heritage in the Church of the Nazarene and has continued that legacy by becoming an ordained elder in the church in 1995. He retired in 2025 but is still continuing to serve. He has faithfully served on staff at Columbiana, Nauvoo, Northside, Sardis, Gardendale, and Saragossa Churches of the Nazarene. Jeffery has a deep heart for ministry and is actively involved in CNC Sports, Youth Council, and Senior Adult Ministry, pouring his passion into serving people of all ages.

Jim Odom
Worship Leader
Jim has played in and led bands many times over the year, but this is his first church as the worship leader. Jim currently works in banking, and his wife Jenny is the Director of Jasper’s Pregnancy Test & Resource Center.

Brittany Patton
Administrative Assistant
Brittany has been a life-long member of Jasper First and Covenant Church of the Nazarene. She has a background in insurance and management.

Steve Hendon
Chaplain at Hamilton, Alabama Work Release
Steve has been serving in prison ministry since November 2004, sharing the hope and truth of
Jesus Christ with men behind bars. In addition to his work at the Hamilton Work Release Center,
he also ministers at the Hamilton Aged and Infirmed Prison and the Walker County Jail. This ministry
is centered on leading inmates to Christ, teaching them God’s Word, baptizing new believers, and
walking with them through the difficult seasons of incarceration. We also help prepare them for a
successful return to life in the Free World. Beyond prison walls, he has also been ministering to
the 1% biker community since 2003, building relationships and sharing the love of Jesus wherever He opens the door.

Steve was born and raised in Jasper, where he attended Walker High School and Walker College.
He entered the ministry in 1980 and has faithfully served the church as Pastor, Associate Pastor, and
Music Minister. His calling has also led him into 12 years of motorcycle ministry and 16 years of jail
and prison ministry, sharing the hope of Christ with those often overlooked.
His heart: Leading souls to Christ and guiding them in discipleship.
He entered the ministry in 1980 and has faithfully served the church as Pastor, Associate Pastor, and
Music Minister. His calling has also led him into 12 years of motorcycle ministry and 16 years of jail
and prison ministry, sharing the hope of Christ with those often overlooked.
