We’re a new church with deep roots—born from the union of two congregations, each with over 100 years of faithful ministry. In the summer of 2023, Jasper First and Saragossa Churches of the Nazarene came together to form something new: Covenant.

This is more than a name change—it’s a fresh beginning filled with hope, unity, and purpose. We believe God is doing something exciting, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Covenant Church of the Nazarene is located at the former campus of Jasper First Church of the Nazarene in Jasper, Alabama. Since 1898, Holiness meetings have been happening in Jasper and Walker County, and in the very early 1900s, Saragossa and Jasper First were formed in the Holiness Church of Christ (TX) which joined the Church of the Nazarene in 1908 at Pilot Point, Texas.
In 1972, Nazarenes in Jasper built their church on our current property.
